It’s time for another giveaway!

School is just about to start for everyone or has already started and I think a good way to start off would be with another giveaway. One thing I have found very important after all these years of living and trying to live my life its fullest is the importance of time. Time flies by all the time, whether we know it or not, and every now and then I know it’s hard to keep track, but it would be a whole lot easier with a brand new watch, would it not?

So Fashion Addict has teamed up with OrientalWatchSite.com and is giving away to one lucky winner a brand new Orient watch retailing at $80!

Orientwatch

Orient Automatic Men's Watch

I know, I know, (to all the ladies) you’re probably thinking, “Why in the world would I want to wear a men’s watch?”As much as I can agree with your thought process there, I can’t help but play around and try on my own father’s watches. Men’s watches such as the CFPAA002D have that certain boldness and when I see women wearing them, it just makes them look so much more edgy and trendy. Like my favorite Kim Kardashian:

Kim Kardashian's rocking a men's watch, why don't you?

Kim Kardashian's rocking a men's watch, why don't you?

Still not convinced enough to wear it yourself? No problem, it’s always nice to surprise your boyfriend with a unexpected gift, or even show your family how much you enjoy their company by giving them a sweet new watch. And for all you men reading my blog, (don’t deny – I know you read it), this is definitey a thing to participate in. So enter the contest! I know you’ll have fun!

All you have to do is:

1. Explain in the comments section why you would wear a men’s watch OR Why time is important to you.

2. Make sure you enter your email address so I can contact the lucky winner.

3. Be on time! (haha) The contest will be running from 8/19/09 – midnight of 8/25/09. Late entries won’t be included so make sure you get here before it’s over!

4. Tell all your friends about it and blog posts are a plus!

5. And finally have fun with this and subscribe to my feed to recieve all the updates on this contest!

So what are you waiting for? Here’s your chance to win an awesome new watch for yourself or even as a gift for a friend, so go ahead and enter!

  • I would wear a Man’s watch because on my delicate wrist it would look so hot. Like I just left a man’s house and accidentally wore his stuff..yum!

If Kim Kardashian is wearing it, it must be fashionable!

  • Jaime says:

Thanks for reading la vie…j’aime and telling me about your blog!!

I always wear a watch and have about 10- but that doesn’t mean i couldn’t use 1 more :). I am kind of a control freak in that (yes, I will admit on a blog!) I like to know what time it is always!

Great giveaway- the oversize men’s watch is soo in right now so I’d love to have one!

  • Keith says:

Wearing a men’s watch is important to me because I’m a man. A watch can be a fashion statement. It’s one of the accessories that men actually have out there. It’s also important to have one if you need to keep up with the time. Some people have to know what time it is. I think this is a really nice watch. I’ll definitely like to be entered. Great contest. Thanks for letting me know about it. Cheers!

  • Wendy-May says:

I actually wear a mans watch (I like how a man watch look on little wrists), my dads old one, but it no longer works. Therefore a new one that does work would just be lovely!Practical and looks good what more could you want?!x

  • Maria says:

Hi! First of all, thanks for visiting my blog!

I would wear a men’s watch for the exact same reasons as you. It’s fab and edgy. My style, though in a consant flux, always has somewhat of a rocker’s edge to it, this would definately suit me, I think!

Secondly, and more importantly, I could really use a decent watch, since I don’t have one (or I have one, which is really crappy :D). I’m ALWAYS late, from school, dance practice… You name it. Alarm clocks or reminders don’t help, but I think this would help. (As it would be strapped to my hand I might pay attention to my schedule and being on time more) Maybe someday I’ll learn how to be on time…

    xoxo, Maria

What a fab giveaway! I love men’s watches. For a while I have had this dream of wearing a white button-down shirt, my favorite pair of jeans, and a men’s watch. I’m not sure why but it seems like the perfect outfit. I have everything but the watch! Lol. I just can’t afford jewelry right now…sigh.

  • Cara Mia says:

time is important to me because we don’t know how much of it we really have and it’s good to make the most of it…PLUS…

….i LOVE wearing men’s watches and it would be awesome to win because the one that i do have is on the skids!

    here’s me http://blog.hippiecouture.com/

  • Alyssa says:

I love wearing men’s watches because it totally reflects my clothing style…loose tees, boyfriend jeans (sometimes i opt for the skinny ones) and it would perfectly compliment that!!

and time is important to me because it is always there :)

  • bagmi says:

You have a very valid point- Men’s clothing has always been more comfortable and I think the oversized look is very flattering.

This goes for the watch as well. Skinny jeans and plain tops can definitely be accented with an oversized men’s watch. I’m glad you pointed out that women don’t have to stick to small, flirty accessories. Thanks!

And Jennifer- I actually wore that outfit last weekend. I feel flattered!

  • James h says:

I love oriental watches! I’m a boy so I’d definitely rock this—and I’m sure that it’s European enough for my new life in Spain.

I’d love this. Please please please pick me. I’m going to tweet this!!!

  • Becca says:

I pretty much freak out if I’m not wearing a watch. If I won this giveaway I’d give the watch to my boyfriend since he’s looking for a new watch! Thanks for the chance to win!

  • Sher says:

The trend is BIG and BOLD! The best thing to pair with a chunky bracelet is a chunky watch. And since I don’t even own a watch; this would become a staple in my wardrobe :)

  • Ava J. says:

I would wear a men’s watch because 1) they are more universal than women’s watches (butterflies and flowers aren’t exactly things that are easy to match, most women’s watches cant go without them) 2) They are just plain old cool.

  • Brittany says:

Wearing men watches allows you to add a small, but not any less potent detail to your outfit. Men’s watches are my favorite because it give’s me the extra something when I have to go school. It makes me feel better than the boys!

  • kristin says:

i love this watch this would a great gift for my bf especially with our anniversary coming up!

    littleone751@hotmail.com

  • Kara says:

Menswear is so sexy… The first time I wore my boyfriend tee, my boyfriend told me it was his favorite shirt he’d ever seen me wear – and was I thankful for that! It’s sooo comfortable…and knowing he likes it, I wear it ALL of the time and don’t feel guilty about it!

I LOVE big bangles and statement bracelets (and Vogue tells me they’re “in” this fall), and a men’s watch has that same look and interest – with the bonus of telling time! (So much less obvious to look at your watch than take out a cell phone to check the time, too…perfect for sitting in class!)

Telling the time is important because how else could you have those crazy moments when time flies or stands still? haha

  • Jen says:

I really like that watch.. I’d rock it KK style! I’d wear it because mens watches are nicer and better looking that womens.

  • Megan says:

I am constantly neurotic about being on time, so I need a watch for all occassions. My most recent watch has died on me, so I’ve been relying on my cell phone to keep track of the time, but it’s very inconvenient to have to take it out of my purse every two minutes. This watch would be great for everyday, thanks for the giveaway!

  • lisa says:

I love love LOVE wearing men’s watches because it keeps a balance between the feminine dresses i wear. Plus the bigger face makes telling the time easier for the woman on the go!!

I really would like to add this to my collection of masculine watches :D

  • Joy says:

    Hi,

I just stumbled upon your website an I think I’m hooked already.

Like you, I’d wear men’s watch on any given day. It’s looks flattering on my small wrist and just perfect for adding an adventurous touch to any of my outfits.

  • natalie says:

I always wear men’s watches, in fact my favorite one is my father’s. I wear one all the time, I just cannot function without it!

  • evelyn says:

hi! thank you so very much for liking my blog <3
and for telling me about your giveaway contest :3

i love watches. worn so many in my life haha
so i am pretty sure i would wear a man's watch
because i like them a lot.

  • Lydia says:

wearing a man’s watch brings me more enjoyment than almost anything else. they are bigger, which is always a plus. i think it’s very chic to wear one. i used to wear my brother’s watches on my arm until he took them back. if i won this watch, well, it would be just lovely…i’d be ecstatic to once again wear a man’s watch.

  • Darrah says:

Hey!! Thanks for the comment on my blog. I would love to enter in the contest! Men’s watches are the biggest trend for fall fashion right now. They’re the perfect item to pair with a copious amount of bangles. Bigger is almost always better right? Plus, it just flows with women’s mimicry of menswear (boyfriend blazer, boyfriend jeans, etc.).

  • Shin says:

I don’t wear watches because they make me feel really anxious and I’d rather not know what time is it during the day unless I have an appointment. However, I would love to win this men’s watch to give it to my dad! He’s been wearing the same watch for years and it’ll be nice to have a change!

  • lisa says:

Time is important to me but in a funny way. I like to optimize what time I have by multi-tasking, but if I set out to waste time by becoming a sloth and doing nothing, I can let everything slide and hang around the house all day reading and not doing much else. As much as I enjoy wasting my own time, though, I hate it when other people waste my time (e.g. being late to an appointment and making me wait).

  • Sam says:

Oooh! How cool! I found your blog through Baby Sloth!!

Ummm…I love men’s chucky watches – I wore my Dad’s vintage 1950s watch for a long time – they are just so much easier to read and groovy I think! Here’s my email: matou@fastmail.fm

  • Amalie says:

I would love to win this men’s watch because I find that the whole “I’m feminine & gracious but at the same time an edgy tomboy”-look which I can pull off works better for some than others..:)

  • Fiorella says:

    HEY! Thanks for the comments…

Well, I would wear a men’s watch firts because it will look odd and strange (I’m tiny and skinny ha!)… by now you will be saying… WTF this girl is talking about?!!… but yeah, I like to be the outsider, I love to put coordination together, sharp outfits, simplistic and delicate, but at the same time I like to give strong details that are just there for me to enjoy it, they make me feel more confident with what I’m wearing, a little personal touch…
In everyday’s life we must express our own style, get out of the square, jump the edges and have fun!

Well, a men’s watch (which I have never had), will be a great new piece between my stuffs… so, if you don’t mind I WANT IT!

    (and… you know… it’s also pretty good to check the time… a watch… dah!)

    :D

  • I would wear a men’s watch because…. hummmm… errrr… because I’m a man!

    :)

  • Michelle says:

What a great way to start off the new school year! I love this watch.

I am going to be a senior in college majoring in Professional Communications, so time is very important to me. Along with being a full time student, I work in retail and as a basketball referee. On top of it all a girl’s got to find time to spend with her friends and family! Time is precious and it is crucial that make time for all of the important people in my life while balancing school and work!

  • Roz says:

That looks like a great giveaway.. Thanks for the really nice comment on my blog! :)

  • Gabbi says:

Great giveaway, I actually already own a gorgeous Orient watch (that I wear almost daily). It’s a men’s watch also and it fits and looks great on me, if I do say so myself. At first I felt strange about wearing it, because it’s kind of big, but my sis and always honest critic reassured me that it looked grand. Said it made my wrist look ‘dainty’ and I’ve sort of grown to agree with her on it. I get compliments all the time. :) Hope you don’t mind this lengthy comment and wishing you a great new week!

  • Evie says:

Love it, thanks for the giveaway!

  • Allison says:

I want this for my boyfriend, because he is always late!

  • Charity says:

Time is important because it’s not cool to be late. Thanks

  • Promise says:

The idea of a transient, androgynous piece of hardware boils down to this: its wearability is synonimous with any other type of mens clothing such as the boyfriend blazer, tweed pants, or fedora-like top hat, yet it has one distinct quality: worn as a lone accessory with a party frock, it can be edgy, versatile, and ridiculously chic. Throw it on as you are running out the door, and it can turn an otherwise grungy outfit into an instant fashion statement.(Ala Mary-Kate’s character in the charming last Olsen Girl’s film, “New York Minute”).

As for those dramatic times you are sitting in front of your closet with tears running the seams of your eyes, in feverous gall over the atrocity of what lies beneath the heap of clothes you just spent hours trying on
…trying to find THE perfect outfit…

Sometimes all one needs to do is throw on a pair of black ciggarettes and white tee, and borrow their boyfriends watch.

    Instant perfection.
